Land at the Green
Project overview
Over many years of involvement, we have supported this site’s journey from the early planning stages through to the scheme it is today.
Our initial work began when the council launched a call for sites. At that stage, we provided feasibility layouts and village appraisals to help our client demonstrate that the scheme could be a viable option.
As the project progressed, the site was awarded an allocation in the Local Plan. We then worked closely with the client, local authority, and wider stakeholders, first through pre-application advice and subsequently into the Full Application process.
The site presented a number of challenges, including steep topography, ecological considerations, and complex drainage issues, all of which required careful resolution. In addition, part of the site lies within the Conservation Area.
The overall design approach has therefore been shaped to respect the character of Hardingstone, ensuring that the proposals sit harmoniously within their setting and provide a sensitive extension to the village
